End-loaded
The CB VFT sets a large 2 1/2-inch barrel on a 15/16-inch handle and finishes it with a cupped end and a flared knob. The weight settles toward the barrel, so the bat carries through contact with authority, while the flare gives the bottom hand a sure stop. It’s for power hitters who want the barrel working behind the ball.

The ink dot
A drop of ink on the face grain, 12 inches up from the knob, wicks along the fibers and draws the grain’s line through the handle. On a Pro Reserve billet that line runs within 3° of the bat’s axis, the standard pro bats are held to in maple and birch.
